FOUR PIECE RABBIT DESIGN

The top coin depicts two rabbits bounding under cherry blossom; the right-hand coin depicts an upright rabbit among cabbages and sunflowers; the bottom coin depicts a doe and two kittens near their burrow with daisies and a cabbage; the left-hand coin depicts a rabbit crouching among nasturtiums and daisies. ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint opened in 1899 as the British Royal Mint’s 3rd branch in Australia. The historical Hay Street location handled gold refining until moving to a modern facility in April 1990. Ownership of the mint was transferred to the Government of Western Australia in July of 1970.
