These colourized silver rounds celebrate Easter, one of the most important holidays of the Christian faith. The Easter holiday represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is said to have occurred three days after his crucifixion on Good Friday. The holiday goes hand in hand with the figure of the Easter bunny and a big increase in chocolate consumption, which is generally shaped like an egg for the commemorative date.

It is believed that the Easter Bunny roots come from pagan celebrations of the vernal equinox, a celebration of the coming of Spring. Pagans also celebrated the goddess Eostre, which was the deity of dawn and fertility, and typically represented by the hare or an egg.
