Since 1986, the American Eagle Coin program released bullion coins for investors and collectors on a yearly basis. It is one of the most popular bullion coin series in the world, making the American Eagle coins a reliable investment that can be traded easily.

The NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) uses the internationally recognized Sheldon grading scale, which ranges from 1 to 70 to grade coin condition. The MS-70 (which stands for Mint State with a 70 grade) is the highest score a coin may achieve. It’s alternatively referred to as Perfect Uncirculated.

Each of the coins maintains a similar, but not always identical, design on both the obverse and reverse.
