This 1 oz gold coin is the 11th edition of the hugely popular Perth mint lunar series II which celebrates the zodiacal animals of the Chinese lunar cycle.

The coin’s reverse features that well known companion, the Labrador Retriever, who glances over his shoulder alertly on a rugged field of rock and pine. Also visible on the reverse is the Chinese character for ‘dog’ and the title ‘Year of the Dog’ below.

The obverse of the coin features a likeness of Her Majesty The Queen in profile, created by Ian Rank-Broadley. The obverse also bears the inscriptions pertaining to the coin’s weight and purity, as well as its denominational value and year of release.

ABOUT PERTH MINT
