• Consisting of 0.1209 troy ounces of 900 gold
• Obverse: Features the American Eagle perched atop a branch with the inscriptions “ IN GOD WE TRUST”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, along with the country of issue and legal tender value
• Reverse: Features thirteen stars representing the original American colonies along with the “LIBERTY” inscription encircling a sculptural representation of a Native American wearing a headdress
• Due to its size, the US Mint found it difficult to include the necessary inscriptions on this coin which prompted a redesign
