Disney's Snow White was the first full length animated film released by Disney Studios. Opening in December of 1937, by 1939 the movie had become the highest grossing film ever released at that time. The story was based on a German fairy tale, as published by the Bothers Grimm in 1812. The underlying story remains popular today, with many modern adaptations in both print and film.
The obverse has the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse features an image of Snow White as she appeared in the Disney film, holding a rose.
A perfect gift for Disney collectors or Princess fans, the limited mintage of 1000 should lend this coin enduring appeal.
