Hudson was also able to brave the unforgiving nautical territory of Northern Canada of Hudson’s strait in order to discover the enormous body of water that we now know as Hudson’s bay. The discovery of this route opened up landlocked areas of Canada to participate in the flourishing fur trade, contributing to the prosperity of the Nation.
