The coin's reverse artfully incorporates images symbolic of the perceived personality traits of persons born under the sign of the pig: a homestead at night, with a warm fire burning inside, suggests calm and belonging, while the buxom pig with her piglets symbolizes, family, loyalty and generosity.

This scene is set on a field of intricate, ribbon textured design and accompanied by the title of the coin and the year of issue, as well as details of weight, metal content and purity.

The obverse feature is none other than Jody Clark's detailed rendering of Elizabeth II in profile, set on a field of micro-engraved, dot texturing.
