The green ring encircling the engraved design on your coin’s reverse is genuine malachite, cut and polished to perfection. This is the first time the Royal Canadian Mint has featured malachite—the gemstone adorning the base of the FIFA World CupTM/MC Trophy—on one of their coins.

The reverse design by Canadian artist Glen Green features a football (soccer ball) rendered in Ultra High Relief (UHR), with the official FIFA World Cup 2026TM/MC logo struck incuse at the centre and surrounded by three action-filled player panels. The ball is framed by a ring of green malachite—a nod to the two malachite bands at the base of the most sought-after treasure in all of sport, the FIFA World CupTM/MC Trophy. The obverse features a soccer ball pattern behind the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
