The story tells that the Rabbit was too proud of his fast speed. He was a neighbour to the Ox and used to mock the slow pace of the bovine. So the Rabbit took off early to the great race and did not see any other animals when he arrived. Assuming he would be the first without much hassle, the Rabbit decided to take a nap; upon waking up, three other animals had already made their way past the finish line, including the Ox, which the Rabbit used to mock. People born in Years of the Rabbit are believed to be sharp-eyed, fast-paced, clever, and creative.
