There have been two iterations of the World CupTM/MC Trophy: the Jules Rimet trophy, awarded from 1930 to 1970; and the current FIFA World CupTM/MC Trophy, featuring two stylized players holding up the world. The names of the winning countries are engraved on the base, and only a select group of people are ever allowed to touch the original trophy.

The reverse design by Canadian artist Glen Green features the official FIFA World CupTM/MC Trophy flanked by silhouettes of cheering fans overlaid with a stylized maple leaf, reflecting Canada’s official FIFA World Cup 2026TM/MC host country emblem. The official emblem is twice featured on the outer ring that frames the celebratory image, while the official event designation in English and French appears at the top and bottom, respectively. The obverse features a football (soccer ball) pattern behind the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
