1986 100 Francs Statue of Liberty Piedfort Silver Coin | Paris Mint

These coins were made by the Paris Mint (Monnaie de Paris) to commemorate the centennial of the iconic Statue of Liberty.

COIN HIGHLIGHTS

• Ships individually in protective packaging
• Consisting of 0.868 oz of 920 Pure Silver
• Reverse: Features the inscriptions "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité" (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity), the liberty cap, the artist's name, the year of the release and the denomination value of the coin
• Obverse: Features a depiction of the Statue of Liberty statue facing what's ahead and surrounded by many flying doves, the dates "1886" and "1986", and the inscription "REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" (French Republic)
• In piedfort strike, with twice the weight and thickness of the regular coins
