The Siege of Brimstone Hill was a part of the American revolutionary war. The siege is also known as the French invasion of Saint Kitts in the year of 1782. French troops attacked the fortress located on Brimstone Hill, which caused the outnumbered British army to surrender after a month of conflict. In the coming months, a small army led by Admiral Samuel Hood was able to dislodge the French troops and restore St Kitts and Nevis to British Rule.
